2024 Pro-Life Experience will be held at the University of Dallas. 1845 E Northgate Dr, Irving, TX 75062. Our specific dorm information will be provided to registered families in July.
We will go off campus for activities such as service at Pro-Life Organizations, prayer on the sidewalk outside of abortion referral centers, and prayer at the Cemetery of the Innocents. Travel to and from off campus activities will be provided by the camp.
No! We welcome participants from anywhere.
While we are starting the Pro-Life Experience in DFW, it is our dream to spread it nationwide. Come experience the first one in Texas and chat with us about bringing it to your area.
No, anyone is welcome to come to the Pro-Life Experience. Everyone is expected to stay with the group during all activities including during Catholic religious services even if they are not Catholic.
The cost is $400 for each youth.
We do have a $375 Early Bird price available until May 31st.
The cost for adult volunteers who stay the entire camp is $300.
The cost includes food, lodging, event t-shirt, event supplies, and Pro-Life goodies to take home.
We do have limited scholarships available. We aske that you seek other sources of funding before applying for our scholarships due to our limited funds.
If you need assistance paying for the Pro-Life Experience, we encourage you to reach out to your local Knights of Columbus council or parish Pro-Life group to see if either of those groups would help sponsor you. Campers have been very successful finding funding in this manner in the past.
If you still need assistance paying for camp, please apply for our scholarship fund here.
We would be happy to help you set up a payment plan. Please reach out to us at ablaze@ablazeforlife.org
We don’t want to give away the whole schedule, but you can find a general list of activities to expect here.
We will discuss mature topics such as: abortion procedures, chastity, same sex attraction, gender dysphoria, as well as viewing abortion victim photography. All of these are addressed from a Catholic perspective and in a way that respects the dignity of every person.
The Pro-Life Experience does have many service components. If you would like to document them for required service hours, please do the following:
We will be staying in one of the UD Dorms. Each of the dorms has two floors. The boys will sleep on one floor, while the girls sleep on the other. Campers will be assigned to a room with one or two other youth. Each dorm room has a sink in the room. Bathrooms and showers are communal, with one community bathroom per floor. Adults will be in separate rooms in the same dorm.
No. We are not a camp that requires groups to come and provide their own adults. Youth are welcome to come even if no one else from their parish is coming.
Check out our packing list!
Our dress code can be found here.
No. Youth participants are not allowed phones, smart watches, tablets, laptops, etc.
Please let us know on your registration form. We will inform the UD Cafeteria and ensure appropriate options are available.
All medication (prescription, over the counter, vitamins, supplements, etc.) must be turned into camp staff. The medication should be clearly marked in the original packaging. Medication will be kept in a locked container. It is your child’s responsibility to come to the designated medicine station at the appropriate times to take their medication. Camp staff will hand them their medication package, the camper will self-administer the medication, and return the medication package to the camp staff. The camp staff if not medically trained and will not measure dosages.
Exceptions are made for Epi-Pens, rescue inhalers, and diabetic supplies. You must inform camp staff that you camper has these, but they may be kept with your child.
The camp will stock a first aid kit with basic over the counter medication which can be provided ONLY IF the parent approves each specific medication on their child’s waiver.
Parents are welcome to reach out to the camp director (Maddie Brown, 214-500-6505). She will relay any needed message to your child or, if needed, find a time for children to have a brief phone conversation with their parents.
We are definitely in need of adult volunteers. See our needs and register here.
Based on our experience working with youth, parents are generally assigned to a different small group than their child is placed in. Parents are also not allowed to room with their child.
We do have safe environment policies which we follow. All adult volunteers have background checks and have undergone a safety training. Our Safe Environment program has been designed to be in alignment with the policy of the Diocese of Dallas.
